Brassicas are heavy feeders.  Be sure to supply plenty of compost or decomposed manure.  They need lime, phosphorus & potash to excel.
Harvesting Broccoli:  When head is fully developed before flower buds open.  Store broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower in refrigerator crisper soon after harvest.
