What's the
Difference between Pole & Bush Beans? The
difference between pole beans and bush beans is how they grow. Beans that grow in
vines and need support are called "pole beans" while beans that are self-supporting
are called "bush beans."
Most all green beans are available in either pole or bush.
- Some popular pole beans are Kentucky Blue, Kentucky
Wonder and Blue Lake.
- Some of the popular bush beans are Blue Lake 274,
Kentucky Wonder, Festiva and Burpee's Tenderpod.
